I am currently working as Senior Manager at PwC Greece Internal Audit Department.
During my career in PwC, I have also worked as Manager at PwC Greece and provided External (Financial Statements) Audit Services mainly to companies of different industries located in Greece.
I was also a part-time lecturer in Altium Training (Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Qualification) - Parts, I, II and III during the last years. I am also lecturer in seminars offered by the Institute of Internal Auditors Greece.
I have achieved ACCA Fellowship during September 2015 since I am Member (Qualified) of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) since September 2010.
I am member of the Institute of Internal Auditors with the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation and member of the Internal Auditors Register (Economic Chamber of Greece)
I am member of the Economic Chamber of Greece since 2005.
I have successfully completed:

CIA Course best described as non-CIA Course: Ended yesterday. A Challenge CIA Course for IIA Cyprus. In which Certified was ignored. And IA focused on. Firstly the 'A': Auditing. Secondly the 'I': Internal. You are not an Internal Auditor unless you are first an Auditor. And no point in being Certified, as an Internal Auditor, a Certified Internal Auditor, if you are not really a case in point, an Internal Auditor. In my courses, my CIA Courses, it's ambitious. It's comprehensive. It's complete. Not in the weak shallow sense, of faithfully covering the CIA Syllabus or 'Theory', the 'material' In the strong deep sense of being FUNDAMENTAL, FOUNDATIONAL and DIRECTIONAL. Starting, and ending, with the Auditing and the Internal. And even before, and below. Much deeper: Professional. And even deeper. Profounder: Human. Sensible, Logical Human. A common person. A Common Sense Person. I worked at the deepest level. The underlying spirit. The underlying logic. The ultimate purpose, intent, motive, aim. The Thinking, the feeling, the psychology. I presented a way of thinking. An attractive and powerful enough one. And extended an invitation. To share it, adopt it. As one that makes you (in order of importance): -First a much better human. -Then a much better professional. -Then a much better Auditor. -Then a much better Internal Auditor. -Then a much much better CIA Candidate. -Then a much better, much more deserving, much more creditable/credit-doing CIA. How do I know it does? (make you all those things ?) (this WoT?). First hand ! Personal experience! It made me !

As with many industries, the modern landscape of Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) is undergoing significant changes, influenced by digital transformation, regulatory shifts, and evolving investor expectations. In order to better understand the local situation, PwC Malta recently launched a survey in the first quarter of 2024, and several key and eye-opening trends and challenges were identified. Roughly 90% of respondents identified rising compliance costs as being a major challenge. Additionally, half of the participants are considering strategic consolidation to manage costs and enhance scalability. However, despite these and other economic uncertainties, Malta remains a favoured hub, with 90% of respondents planning to continue their operations in Malta, appreciating its reliable service ecosystem and cost-effectiveness. Investment in innovation and sustainability is also notable, with 55% of firms planning new product launches and 30% focusing on green products. Malta’s blend of traditional strengths and innovative solutions continues to make it an attractive and resilient centre for AWM.
