That doesn't work for me. I was able to fetch github-comments ref only after adding the line fetch = +refs/notes/*:refs/notes/*. Am I doing something wrong?

Great! Patched into the 2.0 branch at sha: f61db7e with very minor tweaks.

I've seen that you've just released the last 2.0 branch, so I think we should also stop supporting the 2.0 documentation branch shortly. We'll need to update a few spots in the documentation to reflect this, and once we've done that (unless anyone has any legitimate objects), we'll continue with 2.1 as the oldest-supported docs branch.
