Numbered list in notebook markdown cell renders with Roman numerals instead of numbers

Anyone else have this problem?
When I put:

1. Itema
2. Itemb

in a markdown cell, it gets rendered as
I. Itema
II. Itemb

Is there a flag somewhere to set it back to using ordinary numbers instead of Roman numerals?

This is due to the css, especially the list-style-type of ol element.

You can have a look here to see which value you can give.
You can embed css in markdown cell between <style/> tags if needed.

I see, we set them here. I think it probably makes more sense to do 1.A.a.i than I.A.1.a.i. The current state is probably best for people who regularly have five level nested lists, but it seems that the other makes more sense for common cases.

@Carreau @ellisonbg do you recall the provenance of the initial state of renderedhtml.css?
