Steps to Reproduce

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Assign a new user to the Sentry application in Okta.
  2. Ensure the user is created in Sentry with the firstName.lastName@<provider>.com email address.
  3. Have the user accept the invitation and log in via Okta.
  4. Observe that a duplicate account with the employeenumber@<provider>.com email address is created in Sentry.

Expected Result

  • Users should only have one account in Sentry with the firstName.lastName@<provider>.com email address.
  • No duplicate accounts should be created with the employeenumber@<provider>.com email address.
  • It should be possible to remove the employee number-based email account from Sentry if the user is unassigned from Okta.

Actual Result

  • Duplicate accounts are created in Sentry with the employeenumber@<provider>.com email address after the user logs in.
  • We are unable to remove the employee number-based email account from Sentry.
