Various fixes #1933
Various fixes #1933
Conversation
- fixed delete style layer button - Removed old DefaultLayouts folder - removed some spaces
This system uses tree order of the portrait containers instead of the z-index property. This has advantages and disadvantages. I think it's better.
- Fixes #1926 Adds a system for color-overrides to the glossary. This is used so character colors have a higher priority than glossary colors. Makes it so that when a glossary is hovered the input is consumed.
- implements/fixes #1903
@FernandoZares I don't know the origin, but Dialogic 2 is currently targeting Godot 4.2, so you should try updating Godot |
@FernandoZares Can you share the errors in your Output. As I've been using 4.2 there is always a possibility of it breaking for older versions. |
@coppolaemilio The same happens with 4.2. |
@Jowan-Spooner There are 265 errors. I'm not sure how you'd like me to send them. I'll try and paste them here: Missing required editor-specific import metadata for a texture (please reimport it using the 'Import' tab): 'res://.godot/imported/default.svg-3f34de5e45bef5de4d9c15ef78c00c6c.editor.meta' |
@coppolaemilio In the 4.2 version, we have a lot more errors: 391. I'll paste them down: Missing required editor-specific import metadata for a texture (please reimport it using the 'Import' tab): 'res://.godot/imported/default.svg-3f34de5e45bef5de4d9c15ef78c00c6c.editor.meta' |
Try:
Let me know if you still get errors after following the steps above |
Just tried it but it didn't work. When I relaunched it, I got a blank screen and 131 errors: The errors: res://addons/dialogic/Editor/editor_main.gd:61 - Parse Error: Identifier "DCSS" not declared in the current scope. |
Other things you should check:

I'm not using Dialogic in any old project. Everything I'm doing now has been created just for it. Which means anybody starting a brand new project would hit the same errors. You could do the same test. Create a brand new one and download it like anybody else and you will experience the same. |
I've created a brand new project both in 4.1.3 and 4.2 stable and installed a fresh version of dialogic from main. It works very well without any errors (after the first opening, which has expected errors). |
Well.. I need to learn how to achieve this 'cause I've just created another new project, downloaded from main and this is what I got: Don't get me wrong guys. I must be doing something wrong for sure. My goal is just to be able to use it in my brand new project. Sorry for being so pushy. :/ |
And it did create the Autoload correctly? Because the errors seem to indicate it didn't. |
@FernandoZares Glad it works now. Good luck with your project! |
