The Capital Campaign:
Reimagined for Growth and Accessibility
Preserving and Modernizing a Historic Greenwich Village Institution
For more than a century, Greenwich House Pottery has advanced ceramic arts, culture, and creativity through classes by highly skilled teaching artists, exhibitions, and artist residencies.
Preserving the Pottery for future generations requires strategic investments in the 16 Jones building, which is in need of renewal after several decades of deferred maintenance and aging equipment.
The Shape the Future capital campaign will raise $7.5 million for critical updates and enhancements so this community arts space can thrive for years to come.
Vision for the Future
The Pottery envisions an exciting modernization that respects the building’s architectural character, making way for:
an elevator
a new classroom
new kilns
the return of the outdoor garden
and much more
In addition to benefiting artists and students, these improvements will reduce the environmental footprint, making the Pottery a more accessible, energy-efficient, and responsible neighbor.
