[DEMO] TactilePatch is a thin, flexible, conformable multi-touch sensing device developed by CEA-Leti to give robotic grippers enhanced perception 👋. It measures the spatial distribution of the pressure between the sensing surface and object being manipulated to perceive the position and the orientation of the object in the gripper🤏. It also measures any high-frequency tactile events, such as vibration, to detect potential slipping. This information is processed and sent to the controller to adjust grasping posture and force as needed. 🚨 New Polyscope version - big changes ! 📄 Technology Friday #32 A few days ago, Universal Robots released a major update to Polyscope for e-series and next-gen robots. 💡 New version 5.17 brings big change for UR users with 3PE Teachpendant - button for automatic reach the start point when starting the program. This makes programming easier. Also for security - areas of the interface that are protected by the admin password have been increased. Now setting the Admin password is required. This protects, f. ex., network settings, software updates or URcaps from unauthorized change. And some other new features - check out the document below! Cobot solution of the week. 🦾 This top-notch collaborative robot implementation comes to you from COBO4YOU in France. It's been installed as part of a timing belt pulley manufacturing process. 👉 What I like about this one is that it's a perfect example of a cobot performing multiple steps in a CNC process. In this case, the Universal Robots cobot is ☑ Picking parts off of an incoming conveyor and loading them into the machine ☑ Unloading them from the machine ☑ Performing a gauge check to determine if the part is good or bad ☑ Moving them through a cleaning station to remove coolant ☑ Placing good parts on an outgoing conveyor, or if bad, moving them to the defective parts area Nice work! 👏 Video source: COBO4YOU on X #collaborativerobots #cobots #manufacturing #automation

▶ Cognex In-Sight Machine Vision Industrial Development In this class, you will be learning about vision systems, their purpose within a manufacturing setting as well as how to develop an application for a Cognex In-Sight Machine Vision System. We will start by learning the typical ways machine vision systems are employed in todays manufacturing. "Why are they needed?", "How do they operate?" as well as "What are their capabilities?" will be some of the topics we will explore. We will then take a deep dive into the hardware involved within the Cognex In-Sight ecosystem. We will go over the setup you'd need to achieve in order to properly install one of these vision systems on the manufacturing floor, pass signals back and fourth and be able to communicate with it in a reliable fashion. As we progress through the next sections, we will revisit some of our initial hardware considerations and explore them further. The core of the class will be spent learning about the In-Sight explorer application. This tool allows a vision systems programmer to create, troubleshoot and modify existing vision system applications.
