On November 12, Patrice Caine, Chairman and CEO of Thales, had the honour of welcoming NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at our Gennevilliers site. This visit highlighted the strong partnership between Thales and NATO, which has spanned over 50 years. I was very honoured to welcome NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte, and his delegation for a visit to our Thales site in Gennevilliers today, where we had the opportunity to discuss and present our latest innovations. Thales and NATO have worked hand in hand for more than fifty years to provide technological solutions that contribute to an intelligent and resilient collective defence. Thales has supplied a wide range of defence solutions, interconnected systems, and command and control (C2) systems, and is keen to be a major partner of NATO's digital transformation. 🇫🇷 Thales and Exail are proud to support the French Navy's next-generation mine countermeasures capabilities! In partnership with Exail, Thales has been selected by the French defence procurement agency (DGA) to deliver 8, with an option for 8 additional, Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) for the SLAMF programme. This initiative, aimed at renewing the French Navy's mine warfare capabilities, leverages unmanned technology to enhance safety and efficiency in maritime operations.
