"After our recent successful launches on the Champs-Elysées in Paris and in New York’s SoHo district, we are thrilled to open our first Salomon stores in the United Kingdom. London, with its unique blend of the modern mountain sport lifestyle, is the perfect location for our expansion and marks another significant step in our global retail journey.”  — Scott Mellin, Salomon's Chief Brand Officer Our first brand store in the UK is now open at 125 Long Acre, St Martin’s Courtyard, Covent Garden. This central London location is a historic shopping destination and a must-visit for outdoor enthusiasts. Additionally, we have opened our first Sportstyle store in the Soho neighborhood at 18 Broadwick Street, featuring an extensive range of Sportstyle footwear and a curated accessory collection, including the latest collaborations with noted designers and fashion labels. This store is the third to open this year alongside Paris and New York City, launching as a part of Salomon’s new global retail concept. The interior pays homage to the brands French heritage, with authentic elements from the mountains near Annecy, including wooden benches, old furniture coming from old farms, and vegetation, infuse the store with the spirit of the Alps. Check out the first pictures, the first of many to come! #Salomon #Retail #London

“When I saw this race, I thought that it looked like the most horrific race on earth.” — Dave Pen When the Salomon footwear team was developing the S/LAB GENESIS SPINE, they knew they wanted to test it in the wildest, most challenging conditions imaginable. So, when Dave Pen — singer, guitarist, and songwriter in the progressive/alternative rock collective Archive, and friend of the brand — told them he was going back to The Spine Race, they knew they’d found the perfect race. A 268-mile footrace up the spine of England, The Spine Race is as ferocious as the dragon its name conjures up. It’s known for its bleak, brutal winter conditions, sparse support, and rugged terrain. A journey from heaven to hell, and back, that Dave completed in 145 hours. #Salomon

“On My Own Two Feet”: A Powerful Story of Inclusivity and Innovation A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of screening in Annecy the inspiring documentary “On My Own Two Feet” by Olivier Lambert. This film follows the incredible journey of Jérôme, a triple amputee since the age of 9, whose dream was to run without hesitation, just like everyone else. Thanks to the ingenuity and creativity of engineering students, who then founded Hopper, alongside an innovative partnership with Airbus and Salomon, an affordable sports blade prototype was developed. At Salomon, this marked the genesis of the Adaptive Project—a powerful symbol of inclusivity and innovation, restoring the freedom of movement to those who have lost it. This project sparked a tremendous wave of support and solidarity within Salomon, as reflected in the number of employees who attended the screening. A big shoutout to the entire Para-team collective for this incredible adaptive journey together: Julien Veysseyre, Sarah Legrand, Boris Ghirardi, Jerome BERNARD, Fayçal Toumi, Fabrice Baudet, Luca Liens, and Tanguy Asensio. And a special thanks to everyone involved at Salomon, including Patrick LEICK, Sylvain Merlin, and many others! #salomon #ChangeOurTomorrow

We are proud to be part of a multi-brand consortium that unveiled the world’s first 100% “fiber-to-fiber” biorecycled T-shirt, thanks to Carbios' innovative technology.   Carbios, a biotech company, is at the forefront of developing and industrializing biological solutions to reinvent the life cycle of polyester plastic and textiles. Inspired by nature, their enzyme-based processes break down plastic, helping to accelerate the transition to a circular economy.   At Salomon, we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation and sustainability, and this collaboration is a testament to our ongoing efforts. Our collective work since 2022 has led to this significant milestone.   “This T-shirt is the first tangible result of our ‘fiber to fiber’ consortium with CARBIOS, overcoming textile challenges to create a garment from enzymatically recycled waste with the same quality as virgin fibers. It builds on Salomon’s commitment to material circularity, following Index - the first recyclable running shoe, and highlights our dedication to reducing factory waste and our engagement to reduce by 30% our carbon footprint by 2030. This project, in collaboration with footwear and apparel Brand partners, reflects our shared leadership and vision for a more sustainable footwear and textile industry.” - Guillaume Meyzenq, Salomon Chief Product Officer Softgoods   #Salomon #Sustainability #Innovation #Collaboration

👕 🌱 World’s first t-shirt made entirely from 100% textile waste We are proud to unveil a breakthrough in textile circularity: the world’s first t-shirt made entirely from 100% textile waste, using Carbios’ proprietary enzymatic recycling technology. This innovation, developed in collaboration with our “fiber-to-fiber” consortium partners, which includes On, Patagonia , PUMA Group, PVH Corp., and Salomon, represents a significant leap forward in sustainable fashion. Today, recycled polyester is made from PET bottles, with only 1% of fibers recycled into new fibers. Leveraging Carbios’ unique enzymatic depolymerization process, we have successfully transformed complex, treated, and colored textile waste into high-quality textile polyester fibers. Together with our consortium partners, we have overcome significant technical and scientific challenges, demonstrating that fiber-to-fiber closed-loop recycling is possible at industrial scale. This achievement represents a crucial step towards a more sustainable and circular future for textiles, and we are proud to be driving innovation and setting new industry standards. 📢 Read the full press release: http://bit.ly/3NL1Kf0 #Sustainability #FiberToFiber #Innovation #TextileIndustry #CircularEconomy #Biorecycling #Collaboration
