During the testing phases of missiles, MBDA relies on essential equipment called #HWIL, which stands for 'Hardware In the Loop’. How does this technology work? 🚀 To push the boundaries of #technology, MBDA is pioneering cutting-edge testing methodologies and robust frameworks, which include: • Specific Testing Facilities: Equipped with advanced tools such as Flight Motion Simulators, Electro Optical Image projectors, RF Scene generation systems and Constellation simulators.📡 • High-Performance Real-Time #Software: Crucial for handling complex computation & data instantly.💻 • Integration of Numerical #Simulation: Key to our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) systems with dynamic and physical Models. • Multi-Disciplinary Expertise: Bringing together teams specializing in #Electronics, Real-Time Software, Electro-Optics, Radio Frequency, Aeronautical systems, and Signal Processing, among others. Each member holds critical certifications for lab work.🧑🔧 At MBDA, thanks to HWIL, we conduct between 400 and 600 tests per year in each laboratory, with an intensive use of environment emulator equipment ✅
