[#Deal] 🤝 We are thrilled to announce the financing of the largest Italian Purpose-Built Student Accommodation facility with nearly 1.700 beds. The financing consists of a EUR 100+ mln #PBSA financing in Italy. It relates to a green mortgage loan secured by a strategic located student housing in Milan, sponsored by COIMA (acting also as fund manager), through their managed fund Impact Fund and Coima Housing, and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Real Asset SGR, through its managed fund Fondo Nazionale Abitare Sociale-FNAS. Upon completion, the property will be first used for an interim phase (from July 2025 to June 2026) by the athletes and their staff and then it will be converted into a student accommodation regulated by a Convenzione Agreement with the Municipality of Milan. The project encompasses six newly developed buildings and two fully refurbished ones, targeting the highest energy certification and alignment with EU-Taxonomy upon completion, according to the Nearly Zero Energy Building-NZEB requirements, enclosed in the larger Porta Romana Railway Yard requalification initiative, within an integrated complex of residential and office units. The project confirms the continuous commitment of all parties involved to the fight against #climatechange, increasing the number of beds for students coming to this vibrant city, while working for the modernization of the Italian real estate stock. [#DEAL] 🇦🇪 On 18 July Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company), the UAE’s clean energy champion, raised USD1 billion through its second green bond under its Green Finance Framework, which received the highest possible rating from Moody’s of SQS1. The USD1 billion proceeds from the issuance will be deployed to fund Masdar’s equity commitments on new greenfield projects, several in developing economies, as the company pursues its target of portfolio renewable energy capacity of 100GW by 2030. Highlighting the delivery of its commitments under the company’s Green Finance Framework, Masdar recently published its 2023 Green Finance Report detailing the allocation and environmental impact of its debut green bond which was issued in July 2023. . [#DEAL] 🤝 We are proud to have supported MAIRE in the raising of €200 million through its second Sustainability-linked Schuldschein Loan. MAIRE is a worldwide technology and engineering leader that provides energy services and solutions, focused on the onshore downstream segment. The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, mainly for the early repayment of existing facilities, including the Schuldschein Loan issued in 2019. Additionally, pricing is linked to the achievement of specific targets aimed at reducing the Group’s CO2 emissions in accordance with the Sustainability-Linked Financing Framework adopted in September 2023. We acted as Joint Arranger and Sustainability Coordinator, accompanying MAIRE in its commitment to sustainable growth and energy transition. 🙌 We would like to thank them again for their trust and all the teams involved in this project.

[#Deal] 🚂 In partnership with KfW IPEX-Bank, we have successfully arranged and financed a new EUR 400 million CAPEX facility to support the continued growth of Railpool, one of Europe’s leading rail vehicle lessors. This funding arrangement, underscores our commitment to supporting #sustainable and #innovative transportation solutions. RAILPOOL's CFO, Ingo Wurzer, highlighted the importance of this “financing in recognizing their business model and plans in Europe for the coming years”. [#DEAL] 🤝 CODELCO – Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile successfully closed a $532M Credit Facility, backed by 95% guarantee by the MIGA. We are proud to have acted as the Mandated Lead Arranger and Facility Agent in this transaction. The proceeds will be used to finance CODELCO’s transition towards renewable energy with long term contracts signed with energy suppliers in Chile.   CODELCO is a 100% government-owned Chilean copper mining company and is the world’s largest copper producer with around 6.4% of 2023 world’s total copper production. A key element in the energy transition, copper is used to produce solar panels, wind turbines, power cables, and energy storage systems. The energy transition of copper mining companies is therefore essential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.   This deal, being the first MIGA-backed credit facility in Chile focused on energy transition and climate finance, is a milestone in CODELCO’s goal to secure 85% of its energy from #renewable sources by 2026 and 100% by 2030. [#Deal] 🤝 We are very proud to have acted as Joint Financial, Rating, Hedging, Green Advisor, and Joint Placement Agent in Alpha Trains Group latest successful financing project. This landmark transaction, a €1.3bn Bank & Private Placement deal, will enable Alpha Trains to refinance existing debt and expand its fleet of passenger trains and locomotives. Our involvement included advising on optimal debt stack re-organisation, affirming their senior secured debt rating, raising funds to refinance an upcoming public bond maturity, securing liquidity for growth, extending and amending existing debt stack, and managing interest rate exposure. [#DEAL] 🌱 We are proud to have supported Waga Energy, world leader in the production of biomethane from landfill waste, in setting up its inaugural green syndicated financing, as “Green” coordinator, alongside Crédit Agricole Sud Rhône Alpes. This 100 million euros credit, labeled as a “green loan”, will accelerate the international development of Waga Energy, particularly in the United States. In addition to the role of “Green” coordinator, we acted as mandated co-lead arranger in the credit facility alongside Crédit Agricole Sud Rhône Alpes, Crédit Agricole Centre France and LCL, with participation from Groupe Crédit Agricole of €30 million. This credit will be used to finance projects that contribute substantially to the mitigation of climate change, in accordance with the European green taxonomy, in line with the challenges of “decarbonisation”.
