We offer many many ways to get involved. Through See, Test & Treat®, pathologists help remove barriers to healthcare for women and their families. They provide care and education that form the bridge to ongoing engagement within the health system.
Our grants support the specialty of pathology by funding research, training, and education opportunities: From innovative projects for improved patient care, to hands-on advanced training rotations, we provide opportunities to advance the specialty.
We Support Community Health
See, Test & Treat, our flagship humanitarian program, delivers pathologist-led free cervical and breast cancer screening and same-day results to women in need across the United States.
Our program:
- Provides inclusive, culturally sensitive education, outreach and care to ethnically diverse, vulnerable patients while they wait for test results often delivered by a pathologist.
- Seeks to establish a habit of preventive care and to integrate patients into a medical home.
- Introduces patients to laboratory medicine, bringing the pathologist’s expertise directly to patients in need.
- Overcomes obstacles to care by offering interpreters, nutritious meals, community outreach materials, transportation and children’s activities.
- Recognizing women as catalysts to change within the family and community, it seeks to influence community health care and lifestyle behaviors for the better.
