How can I make the height of a hyperlink in IE work.

<a href="test.html" style="position:absolute; height:30px; width:57px; overflow:hidden"></a>

This works in firefox, but IE doesn't seem to take the height into effect.

Am I wrong, or is their a different way, without javascript
