Andy17 Posted March 20, 2010 Share Posted March 20, 2010 I get the following error when I try to create a new database in SQL Server Management Studio: Directory lookup for the file "C:\long path\sw.mdf" failed with the operating system error 5(Access is denied.). I have tried both on sa and a custom user with dbcreator and sysadmin server roles. The server is on localhost. Does anyone know what could be wrong? Thanks!
