How to count duplicated values in a table and display it?

I'm really sorry for the poor explanation, I am absolutely not familiar with PHP. I would like to get data from my phpmyadmins 2 table, so I can display how many posts have been submitted with the same category type. One is called "posts" and the other one is called "categories". I have attached a picture to see the how it looks like. What I want is to make the category tables "id" equal to the posts tables "catagory_id", and then display how many posts have bben uploaded of each category. php Cannot get the correct data in my html table(live price) using php and java, it giving me the wrong info when I run the index.php file

Good day. I am new to php, did learn quit a few things with php, but now I am stuck. (don't hurt the newbie) 1. in phpmysql I have a table with one of the columns (LIVE) in it that I want to show a live price in. At the moment I the column is set as varchar(30) do not know if this is correct. In my html table I want to add 3 or more if/else in, so when I update my html it must show 0.03234523 (depending on the price) I do not want all the rows to show this information I am getting the info from a js file, but cannot get it to work. Problem allowing users to download files from my website

Now I need to compare $new and $old arrays to create update and insert queries. If the values in the new array are different from those in the old one, the table should be updated. If there are more elements in the new array than in the old array, they should be identified for the insert query. So basically I want to divide new array into two parts with comparing old array and considering the terms above.
