Hi.
I tried to install new boards, “http://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json“, and now the IDE hangs on update, and i'm not able to edit the additional boards list.
I have tried to remove all arduino, but the same board list keeps coming up.
What to do ?
In the last line, in Additional Boards Manager, the url is surrounded by quotation marks....
Remove and try again.
Yes i know, but i can't remove them, the file is locked somehow.
I have searched the net, but hav'nt found anything that worked for me.
See if you got this file in your home directory. Edit out the "" when Arduino IDE isn't running, and try again:
.arduinoIDE/arduino-cli.yaml
(You might need to make sure hidden files is shown)
I have tried that.
I don't understand why it shows again, when i have delete every aduino file on my mac, and than install a new ide.
Well somewhere that setting is lurking.
Make sure you save your sketches first.
If this doesn't work, I can't help. Someone of the moderators here should look at it then.
I'm on a mac, sorry i did'nt tell
It's working now, i delete everything, and installed version 2.3.0, and connected a esp wroom board, and then i could remove the 2 " in my additional board list.
That only took a day
I noticed you have Mac, and that link cover Mac as well.
I'm happy it worked out for you, happy coding now
Your esp32 entry is NOT the official URL. I did not know adafruit had a boards URL, thanks for tipping that.
