Hi, I hope to post this in the right place.
Using Arduino 1.8.xx allows to install and use ESP Exception Decoder to evaluate backtraces.
Is there an alternative/plans for a solution for arduino 2.0 ?
Thanks in advance
Best regards
Ludo
Not too much wrong with the place where you posted but there is a dedicated IDE2.0 section and I have moved your topic there
There have been requests for this. One that I found: Missing support for external tools / plugins · Issue #58 · arduino/arduino-ide · GitHub
Unfortunately that issue has been open for over a year and doesn't seem to be assigned.
Is there an alternative aside from installing two IDEs?
You can give a try to my Arduino IDE 2.x extension: GitHub - dankeboy36/esp-exception-decoder: ESP8266/ESP32 Exception Decoder Extension for the Arduino IDE. I would be happy to hear what you think. If you find a bug, report it at the repository, not here. Thank you!
You must use the nightly IDE build. Otherwise, it won't work. https://www.arduino.cc/en/software#nightly-builds
