Hi,
I use Windows 10 and have installed Arduino IDE 2.3.4, but I cannot work with it. I cannot open a new sketch, and I cannot modify the additional board manager URL.
What happens when you try to open a new sketch and/or add the additional board manager URL ?
Hello,
The following message appears
Error: 14 UNAVAILABLE: No conntetion established
Which COM port have you got selected ?
I have selected the port COM3
I cannot to modify de URL, always appear this text: un plazo de 5 años. https://dl.espressif.com/dl/package_esp32_index.json
Your additional board url contains crap (sorry for the wording); please clean it out. "un plaze de 5 anos" does not belong in there.
It is much easier to edit the additional URLs if you open the edit window rather than trying to edit it as shown in your screenshot
I have tried to modify the URL, but it does not change the text, it always returns to the same thing.
I try to create a new Scketch,
sterretje:
arduino-cli.yaml
I don't have these file in the folder.
You did not look at the correct directory.
I'm sorry, these the folder.
I deleted the file arduino-cli.yaml and I reset. all OK.
Thanks for you help me.

I have reported the lack of resiliency to this form of invalid "Additional Boards Manager URLs" preference value to the Arduino developers:
opened 06:31PM - 16 Dec 24 UTC
topic: code
type: imperfection
### Describe the problem
The user may specify the URLs of additional [package i… ndexes](https://arduino.github.io/arduino-cli/dev/package_index_json-specification/) via the `board_manager.additional_urls` [configuration key](https://arduino.github.io/arduino-cli/dev/configuration/).
🐛 If the user sets this configuration key to a value with a format like so:
```text
<non-scheme><reserved character><URL>
```
(where `<non-scheme>` is any string that does not have the form of a URI scheme, `<reserved character>` is a [URI reserved character](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc3986#section-2.2), and `<URL>` is a URL)
Arduino CLI will panic.
### To reproduce

### Expected behavior
Panics do not occur under normal operating conditions, including invalid user input.
Note that of course it is not expected that Arduino CLI can download the index file in the face of an invalid configuration. It is only expected that it will handle this gracefully, without panicking.
