Composer Chris Bacon (Wednesday, Source Code, Bates Motel, Gnomeo & Juliet, Men in Black: International, The Tick) is reteaming with writers/directors Scott Beck and Bryan Woods on the upcoming horror thriller Heretic. The film is written and directed by Beck & Woods (A Quiet Place, Haunt) and stars Hugh Grant, Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East. The movie follows two young missionaries who become ensnared in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse after they knock on the wrong front door. Beck & Woods are also producing the project with Stacey Sher (Erin Brockovich, Out of Sight) and Julia Glausi (Fail State). Bacon has previously scored the duo’s last directorial effort, 65. Heretic is set to be released in theaters on November 15, 2024 by A24.
Bacon is also expected to return to score episodes of the second season of Netflix’s Wednesday.
