The details of the soundtrack album for the Icelandic romantic drama Touch have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Högni Egilsson (Under the TreeAgainst the Current). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 12 by Back Lot Music. The streaming/download link will be added to this page within the next day. The label has previously released the composer’s love theme (Broken Thread) as a digital single last Friday. Touch is co-written and directed by Baltasar Kormákur and stars Egill Olafsson, Kōki, Masahiro Motoki, Sigurdur Ingvarsson, Yoko Narahashi and Palmi Kormakur. The movie is based on Ólafur Jóhann Ólafsson’s bestselling novel of the same name and tells the story of a widower’s  journey to find his first love who disappeared 50 years ago, before his time runs out. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s fourth season composed by Christopher Lennertz (Lost in Space, Sausage PartyAgent Carter, Horrible BossesRide Along) & Matt Bowen (Gen V, The Binge, Best.Worst.Weekend.Ever.). The full details of the first volume of the album Exotic Themes for the Silver Screen have been revealed. The album features themes by Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino re-recorded and re-imagined (in the style known as Exotica) by the composer himself. Among the titles featured on the record are themes from films such as Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Cloverfield, Let Me In, Super 8, Speed Racer, The Family Stone, Cars 2, Land of the Lost & Monte Carlo, TV shows Lost and Alias, the theme park attraction Space Mountain and video games including The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Medal of Honor and Secret Weapons Over Normandy. The album will be released digitally on July 26 by Mutant and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD and vinyl edition is also expected to come out on the same day.
