Golden Bachelor host Jesse Palmer reacts to Gerry and Faith's 'real and raw' Women Tell All conversation

The Golden Bachelor host also shares his thoughts on the ongoing meatballs vs. guacamole debate.

Each week during The Golden Bachelor, host Jesse Palmer will answer a few questions about the widower's "journey" to find love. Today Jesse shares his thoughts via email about Gerry's moving conversation with Faith, the ongoing meatballs vs. guacamole debate, and Ellen's tribute to her best friend Roberta.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Finally, a Women Tell All with no yelling, name-calling, or loud crosstalk. How would you compare the experience of hosting this WTA versus what it's like to host reunions for Bachelor and Bachelorette?

JESSE PALMER: The one thing that stood out to me about this Tell All was the love and support the women all showed each other. They demonstrated that all along this season, and it was really on display during virtually every moment of the Tell All.

If someone told you two years ago that you'd be moderating a lengthy discussion about passing gas on Women Tell All, what would you have said?

"Am I hosting The Golden Bachelor, or am I moderating a locker room debate while playing for the New York Giants?"

Follow-up question: Did anyone ask Sandra if she ate Susan's meatballs or Edith's guacamole? That was one impressive fart.

We still have not gotten to the bottom of the meatballs vs. guac debate! But Susan was very quick to point out that Sandra's gas issue has nothing to do with her cooking.

Gerry seemed almost as shattered by his breakup with Faith as she was. What impressed you the most about how they talked about the end of their relationship?

I was so impressed at how real and raw they both were with one another. You could see how much mutual respect they have for each other, and I think Gerry's emotion really showed Faith how hard that breakup was on him.

It was heartbreaking to hear that Joan still held out hope that she and Gerry might wind up together even after she left the show. What revelation from the night surprised you the most?

Ellen's story about her lifelong friend Roberta was so touching and such a great example of how true love comes in many forms.
