Squid Game will come to life in Netflix's new reality show based on the buzzy Korean drama, and the first trailer for it is finally here. Squid Game: The Challenge pits 456 real people against each other in a competition featuring games from the hit series for a massive prize of $4.56 million. 'Squid Game: The Challenge'. However, some "surprising additions" make it even more cutthroat as alliances form and enemies emerge. As one player says, "This is a savage game." 'Squid Game: The Challenge'. Instead of getting literally killed, whenever players are eliminated, ink packs explode on their chests simulating their death. It's still pretty jarring! "Oh s---," one player says when she realizes what happens when you're out. Squid Game: The Challenge hits Netflix on Nov. 22, with new episodes debuting weekly through Dec. 6.
