K.J. Apa first hit the small screen in his native New Zealand, appearing in Shortland Street from 2013 to 2015 and The Cul De Sac in 2016. The 19-year-old star joins Riverdale as the red-headed high school student Archie Andrews.

Riverdale found its Betty Cooper in Lili Reinhart. The 20-year-old actress made her television debut in 2011, appearing in one episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
