Leslie Jones finally makes MSNBC debut and yes, she also loves Steve Kornacki

It was a full-circle moment on Wednesday when Leslie Jones appeared on Joy Reid's The ReidOut on MSNBC, after going viral on social media for her hilarious commentary on the network's various shows.

The comedian and former Saturday Night Live cast member has gotten much attention for her Twitter videos, in which she muses about various MSNBC commentators.

Some highlights, which Reid went over tonight, include Jones worshipping at the "altar of the magnificent, of the geometrical" Joe Scarborough, and weighing in on whether map wiz Steve Kornacki was wearing the same khakis or he "has a whole bunch of these pants" (which honestly, a lot of people were wondering).

Jones finally sat down with the anchor and explained what led to her obsession with the channel.

"I saw you one day and I was like, 'Oh my god' and just started watching and I think at the time Steve was at the board," she said. "And I was like, 'Who is this guy? He's absolutely thorough and awesome. Who is he? He looks concerned, I need him in my life.' And that's how it started."

The comedian, who's now hosting Supermarket Sweep, also discussed how she's able to see the light in America's current dire political situation.

"I'm 53 years old, Joy. I have been through a lot of presidencies. I was around with Reagan. I have been here a long time and I have a great sense of humor," she said. "And you have to have a great sense of humor in life. Because either you are going to cry all night or you are going to laugh. I'd rather laugh."

Jones went on to praise Democrats Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, who are both running for Senate seats in Georgia, by taking a page from Salt-N-Pepa.

"What's at stake is our democracy," she said. "How can you not look at these two candidates and not want them to represent your state? Jon Ossoff, what! What a man, what a man, what a man, what a mighty good man."

And when the topic of the pandemic came up, Jones pulled no punches in calling out anti-maskers.

"How are we divided right now?" she said. "That makes no sense. How we made the pandemic a political thing makes me absolutely enraged. And it makes me go, 'OK, is half of our country selfish? Are y'all selfish? Are you really not taking it seriously?"

She continued, "Just the sight of seeing bodies in a freezer truck, Joy, how does that not break whatever it is? Even if you don't believe it, 'I'm going to wear a mask just because I don't want to be a part of the bad stuff that's going on.' Come on, you guys. When are you going to start thinking about each other instead of our own agendas?"
