House of Cards final season teaser: Robin Wright assumes the throne

'We're just getting started'

"We're just getting started!" Robin Wright declares in the first House of Cards teaser for the drama's final season.

The television spot, featuring the first footage of the final run, debuted during the 2018 Oscars ceremony on Sunday night. Netflix bingers left the last season finale with Claire Underwood taking over for husband Frank (Kevin Spacey), and as Netflix now declares, hail to our new Commander-in-Chief.

This also marks the first season without Spacey. Multiple accusations of sexual misconduct were lodged against the actor, forcing Netflix and creator Beau Willimon to suspend production. Filming eventually resumed with Spacey scrubbed from the final episodes.

A premiere date for season 6 has yet to be announced, though the streaming giant promises "this fall."

Michael Kelly, Diane Lane, Greg Kinnear, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson, Cody Fern, Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil, Campbell Scott, and Boris McGiver will also star, while Wright continues behind the camera as an executive producer.

Melissa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese will serve as showrunners as well as executive producers alongside David Fincher, Joshua Donen, Dana Brunetti, Eric Roth, Michael Dobbs, and Andrew Davies.
