On this week’s grown-ish, Zoey (Yara Shahidi) is faced with a difficult decision after appearing on a sports talk show with her athlete boyfriend Cash. Whatever happens on the talk show causes to Zoey’s concerned mother Rainbow (Ross) to visit her daughter at school — and EW has your exclusive first look at Ross’ guest appearance on the spin-off. In this sneak peek at “Cashin’ Out,” Zoey is surprised to find Rainbow waiting for her when she returns to her dorm room. “Where the hell have you been, young lady?” demands Rainbow. It turns out Zoey hasn’t been responding to her mother’s texts or phone calls — and Rainbow isn’t buying Zoey’s “I’m busy with college” excuse given Zoey’s recent television appearance.
