Pawn Stars takes O.J. Simpson's getaway car for a ride in new clip

Simpson's former agent looks to sell the Bronco 23 years after the infamous car chase

History Channel’s Pawn Stars is revisiting O.J. Simpson’s infamous car chase of June 1994. As shown in an exclusive clip from the episode, titled “If the Pawn Don’t Fit,” Mike Gilbert, Simpson’s former sports agent, sits shotgun on a ride with the show’s star Rick Harrison as they test-drive that same white Bronco 23 years later.

Al Cowlings drove Simpson in the vehicle on Interstate 405 in Southern California in a slow-speed chase on June 17, 1994, five days after the murders of Simpson’s ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and Ron Goldman. The chase drew approximately 95 million viewers. Gilbert will look to sell the Bronco in the episode, airing Monday at 10 p.m. ET/PT, as well as explain how he came to possess the car and why he’s looking to sell.

“I’m definitely intrigued,” Harrison, co-owner of the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, says in the clip. “The problem is the value on this thing is almost impossible, there hasn’t been another one that is sold. I know someone would pay a ridiculous amount of money for it, but then again, the value is going to be really tough.”

In an earlier statement, Harrison called the Bronco “one of the most bizarre pieces of history to have ever been on the show.”

After serving nine years in a Nevada prison for his role in an armed robbery, Simpson received parole after a hearing in July. He’s scheduled to be released in October.
