From the looks of this exclusive season 3 trailer, Killjoys is more than ready for its return later this month. The Syfy series about a trio of bounty hunters in space will be bringing both higher stakes and just as much fun (as well as some “intense heat and unnecessary nudity”). Season 2 ended with Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen) calling for war in an effort to make Khlyen and Pawter’s deaths count, while teammate Johnny (Aaron Ashmore), accompanied by the literally gun-armed Clara (Stephanie Leonidas), bid their ship Lucy goodbye and set off all by his lonesome, unable to tell Dutch and his brother D’avin (Luke Macfarlane) that he’d killed Delle Seyah in retaliation. But unbeknownst to any of them, Aneela (John-Kamen pulling double duty) is alive and kicking and coming after them. Season 3 promises to follow up on that threat, as it seems Khlyen’s daughter and Dutch will finally get a chance to meet face-to-face. And Johnny’s shiny new look may be just the thing he needs to help him work through what he did and rejoin D’avin and Dutch as they set about saving the world — while still blowing up stuff, of course. Killjoys season 3 premieres Friday, June 30 at 8 p.m. ET on Syfy.
