Travis Scott arrested on disorderly intoxication, trespassing charges

The recording artist was arrested in Miami and submitted a $650 total bond for both charges.

Rap superstar Travis Scott was arrested early Thursday on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing, according to Miami-Dade County corrections records.

The 33-year-old "Sicko Mode" performer was booked at 4:35 a.m. local time under his government name, Jacques Bermon Webster, and submitted $500 and $150 bonds for the trespassing and disorderly intoxication charges, respectively.

According to PEOPLE, Scott was arrested after officers responded to an incident at the Miami Beach Marina at around 1:44 a.m. and found Scott "yelling at the vessel occupants." The outlet noted that "the defendant was asked by officers to sit down, at which point [he] temporarily sat down and then began continuously standing back up, disregarding officers' commands. Throughout the interaction, officers on scene could sense a strong smell of alcohol coming from the defendants' breath," citing the arrest affidavit.

A source familiar with the situation tells EW there "was no physical altercation with anyone," and calls the incident "a rowdy party" in general. "Travis was already bailed out for a few hundred dollars. He is already home," the source continues. "There will be no further action to be taken as it was a minor incident akin to receiving a ticket with no injuries."

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to representatives for Scott and Miami-Dade County for comment.

In addition to his successful career as a recording artist, which includes recent hit "Type S---," three consecutive No. 1 solo albums, and four No. 1 singles to his credit, Scott's personal life has also made headlines, as the rapper shares two children with his ex, Kylie Jenner.

Late last year, Scott also commented on an "overly devastating" career incident, after a crowd surge at a 2021 concert led to the deaths of 10 people in the audience.

"That moment for families, for the city, you know, it was devastating. And when it came to making, like even finishing the album… I got back into it probably like, I don’t know, months and months and months after," he told GQ in November 2023. "And the idea of just even getting back into music, working on music and just even getting into that, was therapeutic of being able to channel some of the energy into production and sounds and finishing it.”

EW will update this report with new information as it becomes available.
