EW's editorial guidelines Published on January 5, 2021 01:12PM EST Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor made the most of their quarantine nightmare by downing booze and plotting an epic jewel heist — all in their new HBO Max movie, of course. The first trailer for the streaming service's upcoming crime comedy Locked Down features the superstar duo navigating the grueling landscape of early pandemic isolation, including the woes of working from home, over-boozing on (and off) the clock, and driving each other mad as a couple forced into close proximity as the world crumbles around them. But things change when Linda (Hathaway) has an idea to spice up their quarantine blues just as she decides to separate from Paxton (Ejiofor): Mount an epic diamond heist at iconic retailer Harrods because, why not? "Live wild or die, Linda," Ejiofor tells his costar in the clip, before scenes show them slinking through the barren department store with their eye on a jewel worth £3 million. Directed by Mr. and Mrs. Smith helmer Doug Liman, the film also stars Ben Kingsley and Hathaway's Ocean's Eight costar Mindy Kaling, both of whom can be seen in Zoom-style footage throughout the trailer. Locked Down — Hathaway's second HBO Max film after she fronted The Witches in October — drops Jan. 14 on the subscription service. Watch the new trailer above.
