As Netflix’s The Sandman gears up for a much-anticipated season 2, the show (based on the iconic comic co-created by Neil Gaiman) has announced castings for the remaining family members of immortal beings known as The Endless. Each of the Endless is an anthropomorphic personification of a universal experience. You already know series protagonist Dream (Tom Sturridge) and his scene-stealing older sister Death (Kirby Howell-Baptiste). The androgynous Desire (Mason Alexander Park) hatched some schemes with their twin Despair (Donna Preston) in season 1, but expect to see more from them in season 2. Destiny will be played by Adrian Lester, and Delirium will be played by Esmé Creed-Miles. There’s also a seventh member of the Endless who no longer takes his family’s calls. Once known as Destruction, he is now referred to only as “The Prodigal” by his siblings, and he will be played by Barry Sloane. Fans have been wondering how she'll be portrayed on the show, and now we get our first taste. "There will be butterflies, there will be balloons, there will be magic, there will be chicken and telephone flavored ice cream," Gaiman promised in 2022 about Delirium's arrival on the show. Destiny, by contrast, is the family's serious older brother.
