The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion part 2: Mary, did you know?

Mary Cosby has entered the chat.

The mystery of Monica Garcia, fka Reality Von Tease, continues to unravel in part two of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 4 reunion.

We start by delving into more of Monica's family history, namely her mommie dearest, who, Monica says, abandoned her when she was 12 so she could pursue a career in... television. Andy Cohen's no psychiatrist, but even he has to see the pathology unfolding on his couch.

Andy then asks Monica, "Do you think your mom was auditioning to be a Housewife?"

Short answer: Duh. Longer answer: Monica recounts thinking she bombed her RHOSLC audition and going to see her mom, who then offered prayers that if her daughter didn't get it, she would instead. So, the pieces of the puzzle are fitting together nicely.

Just as the women seem to be, once again, sympathizing with Monica, we get into the lawsuit(s). After Monica fell down Angie Katsanevas' stairs, she threatened online to sue Angie and Meredith Marks allegedly cosigned it with an "If you want her house, you can take her house." Meredith denies saying that, but... that totally sounds like something Meredith would say/slur.

That's when Angie accuses Monica of making her living suing people, but Monica takes offense and asks Angie to name who she's sued or is currently suing. That's when Heather chimes in:

Though, in all fairness, Monica's only countersuing Heather, so...

This seems to be a pattern with Monica — when she challenges someone to show her the receipts, the cashier rings her up, and she admits that, okay, they were kinda right. Like when Monica asks what "nasty" things she said about Lisa Barlow's husband John and Angie notes that she called him a "penis head."

There's something oddly refreshing about someone, particularly a Housewife, owning her bad behavior, even when — or especially when — she's forced to do so.

Speaking of oddly refreshing: Mary M. Cosby.

After skipping out on the season 2 reunion, Mary brings her A-game this time around. And that A-game includes shading her own son's sexual prowess. Let's not fully get into that here, but the gist is Mary heard her son and his alleged wife (she's still not sure about that marriage) loudly going at it and went on to tell the girl to "stop pretending" so as not to give her son "a big head."

Oh Mary, we've missed you. But it's also nice to have you only in small doses, like a special, kooky little treat. Now, Mary's always been very forthright — too forthright, some would say — about her true feelings for the other Housewives, and even so, Andy had the nerve to ask her who among the ladies Mary actually likes.

Once her rather long pause ends, Mary reveals, surprisingly, that she likes Angie (whom she had only two minutes earlier scolded for what turned out to be a compliment directed at Mary); she "loves" Meredith; and not so surprisingly, she also likes Monica. It's not surprising because Mary went to visit Monica in her dressing room before joining the other ladies, and Mary seems to know more about Monica's "situation" than anyone else and told the newbie that she has her back.

But Mary's loyalty is tested once Heather Gay — undisputed queen of receipts, proof, timelines, and screenshots — whips out yet another audio recording of Monica, this time supposedly calling Mary a "dumb bitch." And that sets us up for the final part of this reunion in which we finally hear Monica's side of the Reality Von Tease controversy.

There's been a lot of back and forth on this — and every — episode, but at least some of the ladies were able to agree that Angie's "trampoline with eyes" comment about Meredith was indeed a compliment.

You've gotta hand it to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City — even when going down the darkest roads, they're ready to do a quick turn to comedy. And that's why this is the best Housewives franchise currently on the air.

See ya for part 3 of the RHOSLC reunion next Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT, streaming the next day on Peacock.
