The musician, 35, and model, 26, announced the happy news on their Instagram Stories early Wednesday morning after attending their friend Charli XCX’s Brat concert in Brooklyn. “MARRYING THE 1975 IS VERY BRAT," Bechtel wrote on one image which featured her black gemstone engagement ring. They went over to see their friends Charli and George in New York and I woke up this morning to the fact they’ve put it on Instagram,” she said. “He's got engaged to Gabriella Bechtel — Gabbriette she's known as. Black diamond; he had it made for her.” Welch added that “couldn’t be more thrilled” with her new daughter-in-law. “She’s from Los Angeles. Healy and Bechtel first sparked dating rumors last September after they were spotted holding hands in New York City. However, Bechtel revealed during an Homme Girls interview in April that the pair had actually been trying to meet one another for the last four years. "He came to L.A. and we've been in love ever since," she told the magazine, noting that the pair often spend their time eating takeout and playing Fortnite together. Prior to the pair's relationship, Bechtel previously dated Bob Dylan's grandson Levi Dylan, while Healy was linked to model Meredith Mickelson after breaking up with Taylor Swift last June.
