If they didn't, it would be an astonishing turnaround to record all the parts and cut it all together in a music video in less than a day. But now that the word is out about The Chicks, Clarkson's latest cover for The Kelly Clarkson Show is now a salute to Natalie Maines, Emily Strayer, and Martie Maguire. On Thursday, the country music trio dropped a new song, "March March," alongside the news that they were changing their name. After Lady Antebellum changed their name to Lady A, Maines, Strayer, and Maguire responded to those urging them to drop "Dixie" due to the word's association with slavery and the Confederacy. "We want to meet the moment," they said in a statement. Clarkson chose to cover one of the songs from The Chicks' 1999 album Fly, but the band also has a new album coming out July 17.
