U2 considers how to react in the face of terror on 'The Blackout'

U2 is finally rolling out more of Songs of Experience, their anticipated follow-up to 2014's Songs of Innocence, which "magically" appeared in millions of iTunes libraries overnight (to either the chagrin or the surprise of the user). On Wednesday, they released a live version of a thumping new track, "The Blackout," which wonders how you might react in the face of a terrorist attack.

"We had it all, and what we had is not coming back," Bono warns over a scathing backing. The group went live with the song via their Facebook page.

The band on Tuesday teased the new song on social media, writing that they would both be sharing the cut as well as details on the forthcoming lead single, "You're the Best Thing About Me," which will drop on Sept. 6.

U2 in May shared "The Little Things You Give Away" when the outfit worked it into the live lineup of their concert in Vancouver. Bono & co. have spent the majority of 2017 on tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of their groundbreaking The Joshua Tree LP. Those dates continue this weekend; all future shows are listed on their website.
