Happy birthday wishes are in order for Kevin Costner.

The Yellowstone star, who turned 69 on Thursday, shared a throwback photo from his first film, 1981's Malibu Hot Summer, on his Instagram to mark the occasion.

"Celebrating another year of life today and taking a moment to honor this kid who had big dreams. It’s hard to believe how far we’ve come," Costner wrote in a caption alongside the photo. "Thank you all for the birthday wishes. It’s because of your support that I’ve been able to chase my dreams all these years."

To that end, Costner's next project is one that is incredibly meaningful to him: the Western epic Horizon: An American Saga. Last year, he revealed on his Instagram of the project, "We're deep into the production of #HorizonFilm, and, I have to tell you, I haven't felt this way about a movie since we were making Dances With Wolves. Can't wait to share it with all of you."

In addition to Costner, Horizon also stars Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jamie Campbell Bower, Luke Wilson, Thomas Haden Church, Michael Rooker, Jena Malone, and many more. Horizon: An American Saga is currently slated for a June 28 release.
