The moment happened after Julia Garner and Jonathan Bailey took the stage during the CBS broadcast to present the award for the category with the longest title of the night: Best Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Series, Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television. So, are you ready for the nominees?" Bailey asked Garner, who looked to the camera and began to read the first name on the roster as the camera cut to a shot of Crown star Elizabeth Debicki. In the middle of Garner's sentence, however, a Globes announcer's voice cut much louder, over the Ozark actress' — a moment that made Debicki's eyes widen as she jumped in her seat before the announcement finished and the announcer moved on to speak The Bear nominee Abby Elliot's name. CBS The apparent glitch worked in Debicki's favor, as the 33-year-old performer won the Golden Globe in the category for her work as Princess Diana in the popular Netflix drama. Debicki gave an emotional speech upon accepting the statuette, thanking both personal and professional connections she's made throughout her life. "Thank you so much. Thank you to the creatives of the show for trusting me with this part, to our cast and crew, to my beautiful pretend children, who I just adore," she said, before tearing up as she thanked her family. "I just want to say thank you to my beloved and dear godmother, who left us too quickly, too soon. This one's for you, baby. Thanks."
