EW's editorial guidelines Updated on June 6, 2024 04:58PM EDT The new year has begun, but the ax is already falling on broadcast television and streaming shows, including action-fantasy American Born Chinese, canceled at Disney+ after one season; pirate rom-com Our Flag Means Death, canceled at Max after two seasons; musical comedy Schmigadoon canceled by Apple TV+ after two seasons despite season 3 being written; and porno mag dramedy Minx, canceled by Starz after the network saved it for its second season following the show's prior cancellation by Max as a tax write-off. Several series are saying goodbye this year on their own terms, including the Tom Selleck-starring police family drama Blue Bloods, bowing out after 14 seasons later this fall, and Taylor Sheridan's hit contemporary Western Yellowstone, set to end when the final episodes of season 5 premiere in November on Paramount Network while also launching new spinoffs. Other shows previously announced to be saying goodbye after their next seasons, but without a final season premiere date (or year) officially announced, include Cobra Kai, Good Omens, The Handmaid's Tale, Outlander, Stranger Things, Vikings: Valhalla, and You. Below, we've rounded up all the broadcast TV and streaming shows that are scheduled to end or have been canceled in 2024.
