Karamo says Tan was the only Queer Eye star invited to Antoni's bachelor party: 'The shade'

At Porowski’s bachelor party, the Fab 5 became the Fab 2.

Turns out the stars of Queer Eye don't do everything together.

The show's culture expert and resident psychotherapist Karamo Brown recently appeared on Andy Cohen's radio show, where he revealed why he did not attend Antoni Porowski's weekend bachelor party. Simply put, he was not invited.

"Bobby [Berk] was not invited, I was not invited, and Jonathan [Van Ness] was not invited," Brown said, referencing his fellow castmates. "Just Tan [France] was invited."

With a laugh, he added, "The shade!"

Cohen, who recorded with Berk the previous day, said that the other Queer Eye expert also mentioned not attending the festivities, but made it seem as though he couldn't make it. "He said it nicer," Cohen claimed, to which Brown protested.

"Listen, I'm all about being real and being upfront," Brown explained, bluntly adding, "We weren't invited."

That being said, Brown said there was no ill-will about the exclusive guest list.

"When it comes to events like that, like family things, weddings, it costs money, so I don't take offense to it," he said. When Cohen pressed on whether the Fab 5 would be invited to the wedding, Brown said, "I assume so, but if we were not, I would be okay."

He continued, "People who get married, you understand what it costs per plate and when you have family members doing things…"

Cohen interrupted, pointing out that those same costs don't apply "at a bachelor party where you're glamping." Although Brown agreed, he added, "I didn't take any shade to it."

As for whether he would be invite Porowski to his own bachelor party, Brown had a clear stance: "I would not."

He explained, "I drink. I'm doing a shroom. I'm doing, you know, having a good time and he's not… He's sober, so I'm not gonna invite you girls so that you can be over in the corner sober. Like, no. So again, no shade."

Over the weekend, Porowski shared pictures of his glamping-themed bachelor party on social media, celebrating his upcoming nuptials to fiancé Kevin Harrington. Along with his reality TV castmate Tan France, the Instagram carousel included shots of Gigi Hadid, Benj Pasek, and Christian Coulson.

In a way, Tan makes sense as the sole Queer Eye star at Porowski's celebration. During a 2022 appearance on the Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast, Brown described him as the "glue of the Fab 5," explaining that he serves as the peacemaker amongst the group. He went on to describe his castmates' very different personalities, adding that Berk was his closest friend of them all.

"It's weird because I'm close with all of them, but Bobby, I would say, is the closest," Brown said. "We're neighbors. Our houses are two minutes away. Like, I can see his backyard from my backyard."
