Brian Cox's Logan Roy comes back to life for bizarre Emily in Paris-themed ad

The Scottish actor reprised his iconic "Succession" role in a commercial for the French TV festival Series Mania.

Turns out, even death can't prevent Logan Roy from making corporate acquisitions.

Brian Cox's iconic media magnate may have perished in last year's fourth and final season of Succession, but the Scottish actor has reprised the role in a bizarre Emily in Paris-themed online ad for the French TV festival Series Mania.

The ad finds Emily in Paris actress Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu once again playing Sylvie, manager at the show's marketing company Savoir, while real-life Series Mania chief Laurence Herszberg portrays Emily. In the sketch, we learn that Savoir has relocated from Paris to the French city of Lille — just as Series Mania did in 2018 — and Sylvie is concerned about losing the account to handle marketing for the TV festival. When Emily suggests they make, "a short film, a teaser, with international guests and celebrities," Sylvie approves of the notion and asks if Emily has anyone in mind. Before you can say "Zut alors!" Cox's Logan calls in via Facetime.

"Hello, Sylvie," purrs Logan, sitting in front of a mantelpiece full of awards.

"Hello, Logan, I thought you were dead," says Sylvie.

"Never felt better!" replies the fictional tycoon.

"Well, I'm so glad to hear that," she says. "What do you want?"

"I don't want anything that I already have," says Logan.

"What do you mean?" Sylvie asks.

"Series Mania is mine!" declares Logan, bursting into laughter.

Ah, the French.
