TV Article Green Day fan proposal: Couple gets engaged in front of band 'Thank God she said yes,' frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said By Danielle Jackson Published on October 17, 2016 04:11PM EDT Green Day were in for a surprise at their autograph signing on Saturday when one fan proposed to another in the middle of a Hot Topic shop in Hollywood. The band was just as shocked as everyone else who attended the event when a man got down on one knee just as the couple made it to the front of the line. “That was amazing,” frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said when the couple approached the band for their signing. “Unreal. Thank God she said yes.” Though the band wasn’t able to catch the entire proposal on video, Green Day posted a clip from the signing when she said yes. Green Day were at Hot Topic to promote their new No. 1 album Revolution Radio. Next year, they’ll head out on an arena tour to support to the collection.
