Pierce Brosnan has to take down the I.T. guy in his latest thriller about technology and privacy, appropriately titled I.T.

Brosnan stars as Regan, a successful tech businessman who naturally has it all — even a smart house. It all comes falling down when his I.T. consultant Ed, played by Animal Kingdom‘s James Frecheville, hacks into everything Regan and his family own.

“Privacy is over,” Ed tells Regan in a new trailer. “It’s a whole new world.” Pandemonium ensues: Ed can bring down planes, crash Regan’s car, and cause havoc for Regan’s family at the touch of a button.

The film looks like a cross between James Bond and Taken, as Brosnan has to whip up some old tricks to keep his family safe. John Moore (The Omen, A Good Day to Die Hard) directs, while Anna Friel (Limitless) and Stefanie Scott (Insidious: Chapter 3) round out the cast as Brosnan’s wife and daughter.
