Sorry, Kim – Kanye has a new love.

During an interview with BBC Radio 1 on Monday, the artist lauded Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon as his “favorite living artist,” saying “I love Justin the way Kanye loves Kanye.” West went on to call “Friends,” his collaboration with Vernon and Francis and the Lights, his “favorite song of the year.”

West also went on to explain his performance at last year’s Glastonbury Festival, which made headlines for its bizarre interruption from a British comedian. West, a little rattled from the ordeal, ended up forgetting the lyrics to another song while performing with Vernon. But the result was something special.

“So he’s got this machine and this little sampler that he uses, and when he gets up there next to me and we’re doing ‘Hold My Liquor’, and I completely forgot the lyrics, we just go off the rails and have a moment of feeling like we’re back in the studio, or feeling like we’re back in high school.”

After praising Vernon, with whom he also collaborated on 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and on Yeezus’ “I Am A God” and “I’m In It,” West went on to discuss Kurt Cobain, The Life of Pablo, and IKEA furniture. Listen to the full interview below.
