TV Article Star Trek: Karl Urban says he'll never forget Anton Yelchin's laugh By Clark Collis Clark Collis Senior Writer EW's editorial guidelines Published on July 19, 2016 02:03PM EDT Photo: Jeffrey Mayer/Wireimage Karl Urban has paid tribute to his late Star Trek franchise costar Anton Yelchin. “Anton was the most beautiful, talented young man, and he was a huge loss to our family, and I think we’re all still reeling in shock,” Urban told EW Radio’s Entertainment Weirdly show on Monday. “It’s just still very fresh, this only happened a matter of weeks ago. We’re a little floored. It’s tough. We miss him terribly. He should be here.” Yelchin, 27, died last month at his home in California in an accident involving his car. Asked if he had any particular memories of the late actor, Urban replied, “Yeah, many. Many good memories. All I’ll really say is, that kid had a laugh that you’ll never forget.” You can hear Urban talk about Yelchin below. The latest film in the Star Trek franchise, Star Trek Beyond, opens in theaters on Friday.
