EW's editorial guidelines Published on July 17, 2016 09:26PM EDT Mark Hamill took a break from the Star Wars buzz during his Celebration Europe panel to perform lines from Batman: The Killing Joke. The actor appeared on stage to participate in an hourlong discussion with fans, during which time he was asked to perform a “teaser” of his lines as the Joker, a voice role he’s performed in films, series, and video games since Batman: The Animated Series. The full panel is available to watch online, but Flicks and the City edited together the Killing Joke segments in a separate video (shown above). According to Hamill, the animated film has earned its R rating: “Kids will come up to me and say, ‘Oh, I’m excited for The Killing Joke.’ I said, ‘Don’t you watch that.'” Featuring the voices of Kevin Conroy as Batman and Tara Strong as Batgirl, Batman: The Killing Joke takes its name and story from the dark and twisted Alan Moore comic. The film will make its worldwide premiere at San Diego Comic-Con ahead of its one-night-only theatrical debut on July 25 and a Blu-ray release on Aug. 2.
