Halt and Catch Fire: Season 3 premiere date, photos revealed

The return of Halt and Catch Fire is imminent.

Season 3 of the tech drama will premiere on Tuesday, Aug. 23, AMC announced Thursday. The cable network also released new photos of the season (below), showing Joe (Lee Pace) giving a presentation with casual confidence and seemingly about to reveal what lies under a red velvet cloth. Another photo features a banner reading “MUTINY INDEPENDENCE DAY,” teasing a big moment coming for Mutiny.

Halt and Catch Fire stars Lee Pace, Mackenzie Davis, Scoot McNairy, and Kerry Bishé, and follows the Texas tech boom of the 1980s. The series got a renewal in October for a 10-episode third season. EW reported that the third season will see the characters head to California’s Silicon Valley.

Season 3 willl air on a new night, starting with the two-hour premiere on Tuesday, Aug. 23 at 9 p.m ET. The rest of the season will air on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET. Fans who need to catch up can turn to Netflix, which is streaming the first two seasons.
