Disney announced Wednesday that Finding Dory has crossed the $300 million domestic mark in just 12 days. The Ellen DeGeneres-starring sequel is now only the 11th animated movie ever to hit that point, and it did so in record time, becoming the fastest animated movie ever to reach $300 million. Finding Dory’s box office success is just the latest hit in a string of wins for Disney, which has seen four movies cross $300 million this year alone, including Captain America: Civil War, The Jungle Book, and Zootopia. Finding Dory has yet to open in major international markets like Korea, Mexico, Japan, the U.K., Italy, and Germany, but it’s still already raked in $121.8 million internationally for a global total of $433 million. Previously, Finding Dory broke the domestic record for the biggest animated opening ever, earning $135.1 million in its first weekend.
