The actress, who featured in Spectre with Daniel Craig, will guest star in season 3 of the Golden Globe-winning series Mozart in the Jungle. Bellucci will portray Alessandra, an opera star who will collaborate with Rodrigo (Gael Garcia Bernal). According to Amazon’s description, the character is “as famous for her passionate performances as she is for her erratic life off the stage. After years away from the spotlight, she enlists Rodrigo to conduct her grand return performance.” Based on Blair Tindall’s acclaimed memoir Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs & Classical Music, the Amazon series features the behind-the-curtain drama of the New York classical music industry. Bernal earned a best actor Golden Globe for his performance, and he’ll return, along with Lola Kirke, when production starts back up later this month. In addition to Mozart in the Jungle, Bellucci will make a return to television with the forthcoming revival of Twin Peaks.
