Josh Duhamel is returning for the fifth installment in Michael Bay’s Transformers franchise, reprising his role as Lieutenant Colonel Lennox. Duhamel previously appeared in the first three movies but sat out 2014’s Transformers: Age of Extinction. On Monday, Paramount Pictures unveiled the official title of the fifth Transformers movie, sharing a teaser image of Optimus Prime. Plot details are still under wraps, but director Bay and star Mark Wahlberg are both returning. So far, Duhamel and Wahlberg are the only confirmed cast members. WANT MORE EW? The Last Knight is the first installment in a planned series of new Transformers movies, born from a writers’ room including The Walking Dead’s Robert Kirkman and Daredevil’s Steven DeKnight. (Transformers 6 and 7 are scheduled for release in 2018 and 2019.) Both Bay and Wahlberg took to Twitter to officially welcome Duhamel to the project. Transformers: The Last Knight will hit theaters on June 23, 2017.
