Woody Allen’s trip to Old Hollywood will arrive earlier than expected. Lionsgate has announced that Café Society, the director’s new 1930s-set romantic comedy, will open in limited release July 15, countering recent reports that the movie would bow Aug. 12.

Café Society will expand its theatrical footprint July 22 before going wide July 29.

The film — which stars Jesse Eisenberg as a Hollywood newcomer, Steve Carell as his power-broker uncle, and Kristen Stewart as Carell’s assistant and Eisenberg’s love interest — is set to open the Cannes Film Festival next month. After its theatrical release, it will be exclusively available via Amazon Prime Video.

Lionsgate also bumped up the release of My Little Pony to Oct. 6, 2017, from its previous date of Nov. 3, 2017. The animated film features the voices of Emily Blunt and Kristin Chenoweth and will open in wide release.
